Little Black Dress Books - It's a Girl Thing

The Editor’s decision is final.

Each written entry cannot exceed 2,000 words.

Galaxy will donate £50 towards the competition winner’s and runners-up travel costs to the Q&A session at the Headline Publishing Group.

Relatives and employees of the Headline Publishing Group, The National Magazine Company and Galaxy, or anyone associated with these companies, are not eligible for entry.

Entries cannot be returned.

The closing date for entries is 16 September 2008.

Only the winning entrant and runners-up will be notified.

The winning entry will be published at the end of a forthcoming Little Black Dress title and on www.littleblackdressbooks.com. The winner must assign copyright in the story to Headline Publishing Group.

Entries must be sent in hard-copy format to Galaxy Short Story Competition, Company magazine, 72 Broadwick Street, London W1F 9EP. No other form of entry will be accepted.

Publication of all or part of the edited winning entry on either the Little Black Dress website or at the end of a forthcoming Little Black Dress title does not constitute a publishing contract, a commitment to provide further publishing or editorial advice, or an intention on the part of the Headline Publishing Group to publish the competition winner as a Little Black Dress author.
